Liberation Veteran Services is our new name. For the past three years we were known as Liberation Family Services. Therefore, some of our content will temporarily refer to Liberation Family Services.
- Why did you change your name? After careful consideration from our board and feedback from our volunteers and partners. We decided to formally change our name to more appropriately represent our work primarily and exclusively work with veterans in crisis.
- Did your staffing change at all? No! From our Executive Director to our Overnight Shelter Monitors the staffing model is the exact same.
- Did your programs change at all? Our programs also have not changed and we are still doing the same great work with our veterans.
Liberation Veteran Services, otherwise known as L.V.S. currently provides transitional and rapid-rehousing assistance single adult males. We currently have a focus on serving veterans and our primary goal is permanent housing and self-sufficiency. There is capacity for up to 38 individuals in the program, and there are plans to return to full capacity.
“Our transitional housing program provides homeless veterans an opportunity to receive the services and support they need to rebuild their lives.”
We desire to help the individual who is motivated but lacks opportunity. In most cases, an individual just needs a place to sleep, eat and feel safe while improving their situation. LVS is here to provide that boost and connect them with the necessary tools and resources to get them back on the right track towards self-sufficiency.
